Namibia Desert Discovery – 5 Days

Day 1

Arrival in Windhoek & Flight to Swakopmund

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, our Tour Leader will be at hand to assist in transferring you to a light aircraft on a flight to Swakopmund upon which you will find our transfer driver who will take you to Hotel Zum Kaizer or similar for your stay in Swakopmund. This evening will be spend exploring this town on self.

Day 2

Coastal Dune Experience & Sandwich Harbour

Today’s activities are weather-dependent as we travel along the scenic coastal road toward Walvis Bay and on to the spectacular Namib Sand Sea. We continue south to Sandwich Harbour, a saltwater lagoon about 60 km from Walvis Bay, known as a wetland of international importance.

From the top of a towering sand dune, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the lagoon, home to more than 40,000 birds across 34 recorded species.A leisurely walk around this marine sanctuary may offer sightings of seals, dolphins, and even whales.

A lunch stop is included before returning to Swakopmund in the afternoon. Optional activities such as skydiving or quad biking are available for those seeking an adrenaline boost.

Day 3

Flight to Sossusvlei & Afternoon Desert Exploration

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Swakopmund Airstrip for your flight to the iconic Sossusvlei region. Upon arrival mid-morning, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. The afternoon will be spent exploring the dramatic desert landscapes on a guided 4x4 excursion, led by local experts who will introduce you to the beauty and geology of the area.

Day 4

Deadvlei, Dune 45 & Sesriem Canyon

After an early breakfast, you’ll set out for a full desert experience starting with the famous Dune 45. After climbing this photogenic dune, continue deeper into the Namib Desert to reach Deadvlei, a surreal white clay pan surrounded by towering dunes including Big Daddy and Big Mama.

After exploring Deadvlei, return to your lodge for lunch. In the late afternoon, you'll visit the Sesriem Canyon, where you'll descend to the canyon floor for a scenic walk through its narrow rock formations before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Return Flight to Windhoek

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the nearby airstrip for your flight back to Windhoek. Upon arrival, a driver will meet you for a transfer to your preferred hotel or directly to Hosea Kutako International Airport for your journey home bringing your unforgettable flying safari in Namibia to a close.
